This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
